Completed Task: 88. Try A New Restaurant In Rotterdam
I received a dinercheque (money vouchers for use at various restaurants throughout the Netherlands) as a thank you for some English proof-reading I did for a neighbour. This made trying out a new restaurant in Rotterdam much easier and also left me with a whole booklet of suggestions for places to go in the future.
Fancying a nice curry we headed off to Light of India on Goudsesingel. Overall the food was not too bad (although the naan bread was not as good as I had hoped) and the service was fine as well. The decoration is quite nice but it is a very small place so probably best to make a reservation if you really, really want to go.
I also have now been on two occasions to Basso, an Italian restaurant on the Coolsingel in Rotterdam. It is super yummy, especially the bread with olive spread. Can be slow service and is a very tiny place that is very popular so be prepared to wait for a table.

My 101 List
In December 2007, while surfing the Internet, I came across a random 101 list. Firstly, from this 101 list I found out about a number of interesting ideas, websites and projects to take part in. Secondly I learned all about the world of 101 in 1001.
The Mission:
Complete 101 pre-set tasks in a period of 1001 days. See Day Zero for more information.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
I never did find that 101 list again but I am glad that I stumbled across it as I have gained a lot from it. As have my many friends and family members that have gone on to create their own 101 in 1001.
Below is my 101 list which started on January 1st 2008 and is set to finish on September 28th 2010.

3. Complete my masters degree.
4. Complete the 50 Book Challenge.
5. Maintain a blog that people enjoy reading.
