Completed Task: 28. Send A Handwritten Letter Each Month For At Least A Year.
Today I wrote and posted my December letter meaning I have completed this task!! Surprisingly it was rather easy to remember to write and send a letter each month even without a thousand reminders throughout the house. Even thought the purpose wasn’t to get a response from the people I wrote to, I did get some very nice letters back and I hope that I brought a little bit of joy to people on the day that received their letter…I mean who doesn’t like to get post? So who did I write to?? The list is as follows:

If you didn’t get a letter this year then maybe I don’t have your address (hint, hint) or I ran out of months…there are as you know only 12! I am highly considering doing this again in 2009 as I enjoyed it as much as I did, so who knows…you may still get lucky! 
)
My 101 List
In December 2007, while surfing the Internet, I came across a random 101 list. Firstly, from this 101 list I found out about a number of interesting ideas, websites and projects to take part in. Secondly I learned all about the world of 101 in 1001.
The Mission:
Complete 101 pre-set tasks in a period of 1001 days. See Day Zero for more information.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
I never did find that 101 list again but I am glad that I stumbled across it as I have gained a lot from it. As have my many friends and family members that have gone on to create their own 101 in 1001.
Below is my 101 list which started on January 1st 2008 and is set to finish on September 28th 2010.

2. Learn Dutch well enough to pass the Dutch exams.
3. Complete my masters degree.
4. Complete the 50 Book Challenge.
5. Maintain a blog that people enjoy reading.
